Yeah yeah I know. But really the OP is the only arse for making a thread looking for something he can google and NOT COMING BACK!
I can't even describe how mad it makes me when someone starts a thread that sparks good conversation and never returns!

Girl, he's prob scared to eat in Denham now! Telling himself there's too many mean b****es there!

Probably so. I can't wait to get the F out of there. I'm glad about the good things they're doing (ex: Juban Crossing) but I feel so not at home there.

Sorry, been traveling and just now arrived in DS. Thanks for the recs/lively discussion. I'll probably venture into BR for at least 2 of my meals and will use this thread for the others when I'm going to be in DS.

And the same doesnt apply to BR how??

Sounds like a good plan
When you go to BR, search some threads on here about it if you don't know where to go. There are some really good casual joints I think you'd enjoy.

I agree with the previous poster that said the sushi in Denham Springs is surprisingly good, if not better than most sushi joints in BR. Sakura is my recommendation, although the atmosphere is not "nice" or anything.
I haven't really found anyone else in DS that I've liked, though. A lot of people like that La Caretta place (tex mex). Has anyone tried Cafe Green?

The food is a lot like Arzi's, slightly fresher. The interior is much cleaner now.

Seriously pretty much would rather Chilli's than Chelsea's and Sammy's is terrible about 7 out of 10 (don't like those odds)
Honestly Cafe Phonecia (sp?) is about as good a greek joint as I have had around here. Denham Patty is one of my top 5 burgers (possibly top 3)
and Big Mike's has a few interesting things on the menu. Other than that you are looking at the run of the meal chain type places.

Cute pun! Totally intentional, right?

Went to Cafe Phoenica last night and it was very good. Can't get tired of good Greek food.
Had the Jambalaya place next door to it for lunch today and wasn't as impressed. Pretty run of the mill.
Might go back to CP tonight or try VooDooBBQ or one of the Asian places in that shopping strip. Thanks again for the recs!

Geisha in that shopping center is good..
Voodoo is well voodoo bbq its servicable. But many like it. (I have never been to that location)
Jambalaya Shoppe is ok nothing special. The Jambalaya Shoppe on Perkins in BR and orig location are by far better of those.

Hooter's is the best place in Denham to eat IMO

I hit rotolos north of denham for the first time yest. Pretty good, "sweep the floor" pizza was quite tasty. Geisha and hooters are prolly my faves though.
