I got married in Fairhope. In my mind, I’m already there (but not physically until I retire).

Two Sisters is good for breakfast. Dude that owns it is solid. Named the place for his daughters.

Did y'all blow half of your FILs 401k to get married at the Grand? Smart thinking would have been to get married on the bluff. Or did you go good ole boy and get married at Oak Hollow?

Also recommend The Fairhope Inn for a good brunch lunch

I will second every recommendation in here but one.

Panini Pete’s is a fantastic sandwich
Dragonfly makes great tacos
Master Joes is Good Sushi
Wash house is amazing
Sunset Pointe is legit

But I’ve been underwhelmed every time I’ve been to camellia cafe. Go to Jesses instead.

The Hampton downtown may be the nicest Hampton in the country around 150 a night for when you don't feel like the 300 for the grand

There are some perks available with the Grand. My wife worked for school systems so the retirement system of Alabama has special rates several nights a month. You won’t be able to go for a week most likely, but we have a 3 night trip planned later this summer at 129 a night plus the 15% activity fee. Last summer we had the same planned and once we got there my wife got the newsletter and they had added a couple of nights to the schedule so we stayed 5.

I worked at the Grand for an internship one summer and I would play the Azalea course 2-3 times a week. I would walk and was allowed to play as many holes as daylight allowed for $5

I sure didn't realize what I had and how awesome that was until I had to go back to college. Also had a buddy that lived on the course ans we would just walk out his back door and start playing. Also I've caught some damn good fish all around those 2 courses there. A bass pushing #5 wasn't all that uncommon. The good ole days

It wasn’t that much.
