The picture in the top left just blew my mind. I've been using that device incorrectly(upside down) for 20 years

Me too.

I'll try it the proper way tonight. That thing will forever more put an edge on a knife. Can't imagine it being better than it is. Best $5.00 knife sharpener on the market

Greetings. Not sure if this is the right place to do so, but just joined and wanted to introduce myself. LSU alum and known about TD for a while, but just used it to track football news mostly.

Neauxla, you're being too picky. Must be a lawyer thing.

This thread has given me a few gift ideas. I've never seen that "upside down" knife sharpener.

Welcome Grits! Hope you stick around.

I love my Ninja blender also. Love the multi blades. Well worth the purchase. Also love my vac sealer.

Cheese grater.

I love freshly grated cheese. You can also put nice grated boiled eggs on anything with it.

Might not be my absolute favorite, but I love my electric hot water kettle. When you're cooking gumbo, chili or anything soupy, it's handy to be able to add hot water instead of cold.

Anyone have experience with a 'portable' dishwasher? Heard mixed reviews. Leaning towards just installing a built-in and living with losing some cabinet storage.

Mine is a tie between my thermapen and blender. I love my smoothies, but I love nerding out on temperatures too.

Those knife sharpeners will really thin out the edge of your knives after you use them a while. Great for cheap knives, but I wouldn't run any quality steel through them.

Sporting goods dept. at Walmart hanging on a rack, somewhere close to cash register. Maybe $5.00.

The sharpening rods are carbide and put an edge very quickly that you can shave with.

Not that you need to shave on anything.
