This one was my least favorite of the Clown Shoes brews I've had. Not bad, but I will not be buying another bottle.

I thought it would get a bit better as it warmed up but it's still too much on the sweet side for me. It a little above average but could be so much better. I'll probably give it another shot when it's cooler. I don't know why but I always feel it is unfair to completely judge a stout in 92 degree heat.

Have you tried Clown Shoes Blaecorn Unidragon? Solid stout.

We badly need a coolish front. Bring on stout season!

We are supposed to get some relief Saturday too. I guess I'll break out the stouts.

I'll bring some with me to Baton Rouge in October. I've been collecting a few things here and there but have not scored anything spectacular.

Southern Star is available here. We can get the pale ale, the blonde and the stout for sure. Solid brews, but nothing spectacular. They are good when you want something in cans.

I probably won't pass through that area until I head back to Baton Rouge in October. I'm sure there will be some floating around town that I can try. All the Timber Beast talk had me itching for a rye ipa and I picked up a Jester King Wytchmaker this weekend and it was very good.

I think the Pine Belt Pale Ale is better than you are giving it credit for

I really liked it. It is starting to get to the point of there being too many good beer options
