The best Nola beer I've had so far

rutiger and B have said Mecha is better at the brewery. I have been unimpressed with it the few times I've had it on tap here in BR.

Glad to see you are now a Maven! frick Natty Light!

If I were to drive to NOLA this weekend how hard would I have to look to find some cans of Mecha? Really contemplating making a trip for this.

I wonder when it'll make it's way to BR?

It does have quite a hoppy aftertaste. I wouldn't buy a 4-pack.

Nonetheless, still the best of Nola IMO.

Fiancée likes the Blonde Ale.

You like what you like. I think Irish Channel Stout is their best offering.

Headed home soon for some baseball and FBD.

I haven't been crazy about the mecha and am with you on the ICS being the best. I had mecha out the can for the 1st time this week and really liked it. Before that the only time I ever had mecha was exclusively at the brewery. Maybe the aluminum makes me crazy, don't know.

The mecha cans are all over the NOLA area. The best thing about buying them now is you know they fresh.

I say go for it.

Off topic: What kind of wood do you use in your WSM? I have everything except that in my shopping cart and not sure what to go with. Mainly what brand. Does it matter? Just a personal preference?
