Anyone seen big Ern today? Maybe he's busy giving handjobs for Brash beers.
FWIW, I would have BXN'd him for less.

Bacchus on the Beach?

FBD is a Melcher Street. This might be the juiciest beer I've had yet.

NBsD: props to my wife scheduling a tour of Mad Frtiz brewery in St. Helena. Anyone coming to Napa soon (Kim this is you) needs to check these guys out. They are making saisons, IPAs, etc. and are brewery only bottles and on tap at all the good restaurants in the area. I really enjoyed all their beers and am bringing some home. I think we will be hearing about these guys in the near future.

All are French oak barrel aged.

The Goose that Laid the golden Egg (Saison)

The Wind and Sun (golden ale infused w/ tea)

The Larks in the Corn (blue corn pale ale)

The Kite, Frog, and Mouse (rye; awesome)

The Eagle's Nest (DIPA)

The Birds and the Beasts (barley wine)

The Viper and File (Belgian brown ale)

The Boy Who Cried Wolf (Biere de garde)

The Old Man and Death (rye stout)

Waiter said it's an Andy gator but doesn't taste like it. It's good either way.

They were very interesting, and super tasty. They were recommended by waiters at 3 different restaurants in the area. They are super small started by a guy who runs a winery in the area, but with the success they're having I think they will be growing quickly in the near future. Really good stuff.

It's super informal but you do need to call ahead to schedule a time to visit. Let me know if you need any details.

Oh and that tasting was free. They only charged me for the beers I bought.

I'm gonna do it. We will be staying just south and an easy Uber trip. I checked out their website. I will call or email them to set up a visit. Let me know if there's anything I need to know.
