like stated above, don't waste the money on a small pot. get the next bigger one. i wanted a 10gal and the guy talked me into a 20gal and man i'm glad he did. the bigger the pot the more stuff you can do with it. [fry turkey, make graton, fry fish, popcorn, etc.] you can still cook a 10lb jambalaya in it, you just have more room now. get a set up with the wind screen already on it, that is awesome. i love mine. krazykajun.com in st amant.

I want to say I saw a 15 gal one at the antique place in DS for around 150 with burner and lid.

My big one came from an old black man in Opelousas who cooked cracklin in it for about 50 years and when he got too old he gave it to me. That baby is nice.
I am jealous of those kinds of pots. Most people have to inherit something like that. I thought I had a good deal on a 20 gallon a year ago. The lady wanted $50 for it, no lid, no stand, just the pot. I drove to look at it and the inside bottom of it was pitted real bad where it had rusted previously. I'm not gonna pay $50 for a flower planter.

I have bought EVERY piece of outdoor cooking equipment and catering equipment from Shane at Krazy Kajun.
If you want it, he's got it.

Hey Opie. How many cups of roux you think for a 8 or 10 gallon cajun gumbo? The chicken and sausage gonna take up alot of room. I'm thinking 4 cups flour-oil? 4 birds, 5lbs sausage?

Shenandoah Hardware or Ralphs on Jones Creek. They both have good selection and prices.

Ralphs on Jones Creek? Really? I have been in there several times and never saw them. Guess I will have to look again.
I do pass the hardware store on my way to the library, I have to go there this week so I will stop by both places.
I told my husband this in one thing I want for x-mas (the whole set up with wind gaurd) along with a new entertainment center, toaster & a good non-stick 10 inch skillet. I don't ask for much

Goodwood Hardware = $$$$$$$$$ , but what do you expect for a place located near Bocage??? People will pay $50 for a spatula in that area...
