Goose and Gander in St. Helena has a bacon cheese burger you can get melted bone marrow on. If that's your thing.

Try criollo at hotel Monteleone. Relatives from out of town dined there and said it was fantastic and priced well. Lots of good opentable reviews

I had a great meal and got everything half price during happy hour.

Just to clarify to the OP, everything is not 1/2 price at Luke during happy hour. Some drinks are 1/2 price and oysters are 50 cents.

How else would you serve bone marrow as an appetizer if not in the bone?

August is the best imo. As far as the rest of his places, I either haven't been or don't think they are good enough to recommend with all the other superior options in town.

You are correct. What I meant in short hand was the Besh Restaurant Group owns...

And yes, Landry is the chef at Borgne and that place bears a distinctive mark of hsi cooking, just as Domenica has its own brand as well.

I've only been to August at lunch but it was fantastic.
Domenica was really good too, I got the pasta with the chicken livers.
American Sector- i only had happy hour there.
Besh Steakhouse- it was pretty good, but i'm sure there are better steakhouses in town.\
Luke was pretty good as well.

For such a special occasion, I would go to August.

I think since we are trying to stick to a budget this year, I'm thinking we are going to go with Luke.

Can anyone tell me the attire for that one?

Thanks again for all the help.

Business casual is just fine for this restaurant. If you go between 3 and 6 you get 1/2 off oysters and most drinks.
