You should try Fernando's again. I eat there often, and the food is consistently good.

La Caretta's in Hammond has gotten worse IMO... It used to be very good, but the last couple times i havent enjoyed my food and the salsa was nasty. Adobe in Hammond is much better

That's odd considering La Carreta and Adobe Cantina & Salsa are owned and operated by the same guy, he's at Adobe sometimes with Uriel managing for him.

Afreaux, the next time you're in the Hammond area, try El Ranchito. It's on Hwy 51, about a mile south of Tickfaw. It's my favorite, though I do like La Caretta, and continue to eat there. I'd like to hear what you think about it.

I met the owner a long time ago. I haven't been out that way in a while, so I haven't gotten a chance to ever check it out. Most of the Mexican guys I know out in that neck of the woods like that place, as well as El Tapatio.
