A LOT of posters refuse to recognize jambalaya with tomatoes as a valid jambalaya

I can see how this would keep one on edge.

Now, that's darn funny.

But according to this board, you should get the frick out because it can't be jambalaya.

Since you took the time to look at recipes in so many cookbooks, you could count the number of posters in this thread who said that which would clearly show that "this (entire) board" did not even post in this thread nor did everyone in the thread say that.

What many folks said is that they don't like red jambalaya and don't recommend it and that's it's not the Cajun version.

Blown out of proportion is an understatement.

LL, just to be fair, he never said he was cooking for Cajuns, you just made that assumption

Acadiana led me to believe that. Unless he's cooking for people from NOLA, it's safe to assume they're used to brown jambalaya.

The reaction to someone putting tomato in jambalaya is what was out of proportion.

.. is it really worth 10 pages of argument? If you like it, good for you. If you don't, shutup and go cook yourself some brown jambalaya :D I personally like it either way. I do prefer brown jambalaya though.

they could be from Texas for all you know though. you made the point about 8 times, typing a paragraph each time about hopw when cooking for cajuns, you should cook something they are used to, without ever once asking the OP who he was cooking for

Actually, I was fairly certain I asked but the OP has never come back. If I didn't ask, I typed it out and never pressed enter

You're really rude on here considering you used to be nice. Been noticing that the past few months. What gives?

I was butt hurt, but not anymore. I think I'll ease out of this with good wishes to all my friends on this board. Let "live and let live" be the order of the day.

Was just a joke. I kind of feel guilty about it. But only a little.
