I believe that part of the interview process at Billy's in Krotz Springs is showing your tattoos, piercings, and sores to the interviewer.
The more, the better!
Oh, and if you haven't smiled since elementary school, that's also a plus!
Go ahead and write your name on a time card.

I meant that the have a good list of all the places that sell it. I would not necessarily take the authors word for what is good or not.

I kid, really very comprehensive list they put together..

and most of the ranking are pretty close to what I would give..

But one of the guys is a yankee from Washington State

If you really want to get serious, make it to the Boudin Cookoff next year

I don't think Jerry Lee's showed up for that contest though.

Having tasted over 20 differant boudins in one week I can tell you I would rank Jerry Lee's in the top 6-7.. maybe one spot behind Ronnies smoked Boudin.

NuNu's
Best stop
Dons

Top 3 no doubt

Between all of the good boudin and specialty meat shops in Evangeline, St. Landry, Acadia and Lafayette parishes, Jerry Lee's boudin would not rank in the top 10 of these.

Jerry Lee's is not in the top ten, and i would not put Don's or Best Stop either,

Billy's is hands down the best, and the B balls at Billy's are in another world!!

If you like bland boudin consisting of about 90% rice, then Ray's is the spot for you.

boudin seems like i personal preferance.

my top 5 is
1. bourques..been eating it for years
2. ronnies..best i can get locally
3. dons.. good, but not my favorite
4. best stop.. only had it a few times
5. t-jims.. been years since i had it but was very good

jerry lee's is tasty but it is basically rice dressing in a casing. i eat it and like it but i want more meat and liver in my boudin. again personal preferance.

Johnson's Boucanniere in Lafayette is a must try for the boudin.. they also have good daily plate lunches.

In my opinion, the best boudin in the state is at K&B Meat Market in Ville Platte.

Bourque's boudin is good as well as the pork grillades and packaged meats.. Very good meat market.

Keep headin down 190 if you want good cracklins.. take a right at the Yamatorium, go through Point Blue and take a right when you get to the Chataignier hwy.. Wheelo's is on your right, in the curve before you get to Ville Platte.. You hadn't tasted a cracklin yet, till you had theirs.
