No need for the animal cuts then?

I don't plan on upping my carbs so I should be okay with without the MD's glucose agent.

Yea no need for the glucose agent. just get you a very high quality vitamin and omega supplement and the rest as you feel like it.

and honestly grassfed butter is one of the best if not the best food for you on the planet. it is honestly the perfect fat.

where are you working out in NOLA that has a Jacobs ladder. did one on a road trip and loved it. my gym has none.

west bank athletic club is the best gym in the nola area imo and they have a jacobs ladder, a rower, air bikes, glute ham raise, hurricane, reverse hyper, pit shark and a whole boxing/cross training area.

sucks its across the river but its easy to get to.

Also I did not put above, but if you are wanting to supplement fats I suggest doing grass fed butter by kerrygold and the xct or brain octane oil from bulletproof coffee as your source of mct's. If you want you could use coconut oil.

So I can dump fats in my coffee and get away with it in a fast? That's way over 30 cals, though

What do you think of mainly using something like hammer strength machines for this?

No, thats not true IF but it is a form of fasting as the fats do not cause an insulin response. I believe its called the bulletproof IF plan. I would not recommend that though for those looking to lose weight.

if trying to lose weight though with keto combined with IF, its a great way to meet your fat macros as those fats tend to help the body burn more of its stored fat.

again overall calories/macros matter though. its just a convenient way to meet them if you are having trouble. both work well in a protein shake too, just melt the butter slightly before hand.

I do not like machine work for metabolic conditioning. you aren't using enough muscles % wise to cause any real cardio. The exception would be leg machines like the leg press, various squat machines, hack squats or explosive type movements on something like the hurricane.

Haven't really made much of a real effort to get back in to Keto. I'm just trying to be lazy about it and eat less carbs. We'll see how it goes

The numbers look rough up there, but to be honest as much binge drinking and eating as I've done recently I'm surprised they're not higher, and expect them to come down < 210 shortly.

I went for a jog yesterday, trying to mix in some cardio to build some endurance. I've always hated running, but decided to just take it nice and slow and see how it goes. Route was 1.2 miles. First .6 miles were all at a slight downhill with the return trip being all uphill. Took me just under 14 min (like 5.25mph) Considering it was the first time in a very long time, I was satisfied and gives me some good goals to set.

The legs felt good, although my ankles/lower calves are a bit sore today. But I suspect that will change as I build up more strength in those parts of my legs. They definitely weren't limiting in anyway, that's all on the endurance.

777 let me know what you think about my post above.

Did a day of IF today. Was not that bad. Between 5-10:45am I had coffee, water and some BCAs.

I've had 2 egg whites, 3 pieces of bacon, a shake, 9oz chicken breast, 4oz beef tenderloin, and another shake since!

about your macros?

honestly its up to you if you want to do keto of iifym.

its not going to make a huge difference. sure keto will target fat around the mid section better but iifym will allow you to go harder in the gym and do sprints and other HiiT. Honestly its completely up to you and what you prefer.

I would suggest try keto for a few weeks and then move more to a iifym type while still doing IF and see how you feel on each and which you like best. Maybe even try paleo on it in between.

for me personally I have to watch the types of carbs I take in as I get an upset stomach easy. Its why I prefer psmf and what I get the best results from.

its honestly a figure out what you prefer. if you do decide to eat carbs your fastest results are going to come from carb back loading on workout days(80-90% of carbs in post workout window), combined with carb cycling by not eating carbs on non workout days.

again its all up to you and what you are going to stick to.

i don't think so. never been tested though. I doubt it. i just get an upset stomach easy.

So i just try and eat cleaner carbs. but like after my cheat meal I hurt for days, so i have to make sure its worth it.

my wife bitches all the time because I always have to go shite and fart all the time unless i am eating clean as hell. And carbs do it to me the worst.

Just told her what you wrote.

She's laughing. She said, about the night I had pizza, "I couldn't breathe!"

Yea mine was pissed she was like how the frick can i be in a deep sleep and get woken up by the smell.

She seriously wouldnt let me go in the room for a couple hours. She kind of thought it was funny though because of how much pain i was in.

I have been like this though for as long as i can remember. In high school it was real bad because i would eat pizza and fast food because i could and remain skinny as hell. I would run my friends out the room.

Honestly the night after my cheat day i felt bad for her, it was that bad. My next one in two weeks will prolly be chinease so i know its gonna be bad lol.

Only 8:25 and I'm realizing how dependent I am on my usual morning protein smoothie. This is going to be a nice little challenge at first. Planning on breaking my fast at 11:30.
