One of the owners is from Louisiana. That’s the reasoning behind the Louisiana push

Chris Sarpy, owner of Ragged Branch
is NOLA born, raised & lives in Louisiana.
Bourbon might be made in VA ..... but it’s heart & soul in LA. Go tigers!

IMO:
I've been following the progress of this company for a while. Seems like a top notch operation. Even with the recent passing of their master distiller, David Pickerell of WhistlePig, they have continued producing a quality product. We ordered both the wheat and the Rye to our bar and have been very impressed. I'm excited to see the Louisiana Reserve push and local advertising. That means we get another fantastic set of spirits to enjoy with our name on them and also some more business running through our state! Very hard to argue with that. I am also looking forward to what this company will have to offer us in the future. Anyone investing this much time and work surely isn't taking the easy route to our hearts.....

Official Bourbon of LSU! Distilled in VA but one of the owners is an LSU graduate/New Orleans developer. All whiskey aged a min of 5 years. Try the Double-Barrel Wheat, very smooth.

I bought some at Sam's a couple of months ago. Had the distinct taste of raisins with no alcohol burn. Different...but not interested in getting more.
