ask, because they could be growing overall sales by expanding and opening units, while same store sales (open for 13 months) could be losing sales. This would be an indication they need to look at ways to shake up their model - either through drastic changes or perfecting current assets.
This is probably what is going on. After being in a market for a decent amount of time those stores are either flat or declining. They really need more options to remain competive with other crappy fast-food places.

I still eats canes about once a month. It has gotten expensive, but I still like it a lot. It's great on Sunday after long day of drinking and watching football on Saturday.

I think catfish would go over good.
I was thinking shrimp would be amazing. And I like the idea of the chicken tender salad with the cane's sauce
Granted, I never eat there because it is just so bad, but every Christmas, someone buys the giant party pack at every party- so some shrimp thrown in there would be fanfrickintastic.

I've never eaten Cane's. Just commenting on the business aspect of diversifying the menu. I try to avoid fast food at all costs.

Catfish Sandwich with cole slaw dressing
At first I was thinking they'd just copy Zaxby's LINK and do sandwiches, wraps and salads, but this makes perfect sense considering their specialty is frying and they are primarily located in the gulf south. Catfish, Shrimp, and Hush Puppies would probably be an easy addition that would expand their appeal greatly.

Synergy was charged with the Menu Development of several new items, designed to broaden the scope and appeal of the chain's product offerings.
So corporate could not figure out how to expand the menu.?. Go check out the menu at every other fast food joint. That`s what they will do,and they will tell you this will help you compete with your competition if you sell what they sell.

I'll agree with the catfish idea - at least for Friday's during Lent. That would sure beat filet-o-fish.

I've never eaten there either and there's one about 2 minutes from where I live.
I guess I should try the place sometime to see what all the fuss is about. I don't get it the excitement over a fast food joint adding to the menu. I've just never found a fast food joint I really like.

canes is excellent, i am sick of hearing about how it sucks now and that it is not as good as the good old days

I've just never gotten excited over fast food. It's hard to imagine any fast food as "excellent". I suppose Cane's could be "excellent" compared to other fast food.
