There’s a plate lunch place called Lil Cochon’s in Lacassine takes you 2 minutes to get there off of I10. Really good plate lunches they have 2 different plate lunches everyday along with things on the menu like boudin, hamburgers, etc.

Friend,
If he wants to stop at the best Italian restaurant in the South, he need only take the Causeway exit in Metairie and hop over to Impastato’s, which is closer to the interstate than Best Stop west of Lafayette. Arguably the best neighborhood seafood restaurant is less than a half mile north of I-10 in Kenner with the distinguished Kenner Seafood ready to please those wanting both Cajun, Creole, and New Orleans styled Italian seafood fare.
It seems like Cajun gas station is the way you’re leaning. If so, the best of the best, in my view, is Kartchner’s. The new one at the Scott exit, about which Best Stop cannot be happy, is as good as the original. Please refer to the best boudin stands in Louisiana list.
In reality, essentially any restaurant in New Orleans, Metairie, or Kenner will not be far if he’s traveling on I-10. If he cuts through to the Northshore along 12, tell him to try Sal and Judy’s.
