Roquefort for me.

Roquefort is one of the blue cheeses, the other two being Gorgonzola and Stilton. They are all cultured with the same mold and have a similar pungent taste. I like all three but I recognize that it's an acquired taste. Children usually prefer Ranch.

with bread on a cheese board? Hell yes. I actually have a small wedge of it in my fridge right now.

Bunch of twelve year olds up in hear. Stilton is my preferred bleu cheese. Gorgonzola is too creamy unless I am putting it in a sauce.

Ranch is for peasants.

Pray that your taste buds develop one day, otherwise you can continue on with your ranch dressing and ketchup on everything.

Well... I got ~50 replies on the OT before it was moved. I consider this a success.

[quote]Posted by yankeeundercover My position is that its a "regional" thing. Being from the north, you'd have to go out of your way to get Ranch on anything. Yes, it's available, but it's not the staple. My opponent is arguing that it's a "racial" thing.. What say you? :geauxbleucheese:[/quote

I say you are full of baloney. I'm from the north and both are readily available. When we go out for wings, we are always asked whether we want ranch or blue cheese. I usually go with ranch.

I'm ranch

My wife prefers blue cheese

Funny you bring this up because we had this discussion earlier today when discussing wings

So when I get a blue cheese wedge salad with my porterhouse at Dickie Brennan's I'm white trash?

Why does it have to be a racial thing?

Bleu cheese itself was an omission. My bad. My point was that blue cheese (with a ue) is a generic term referring to any of the three as well as less well-known variations. We peons apparently don't get to sample all the delicacies that you enjoy up in the big house.

I love when OT threads get moved to the Food board. The dumbfrick is strong over there.
