Seriously, how do you manage to find so much pappy? If you ever want to sell a bottle please let me know! I’ve been trying to find a bottle for a few years now. Awesome collection!

Pappy can be found easily on the Facebook second hand markets, just be prepared for the cost, around $750for the 15 year, $1300 for the 20 year and $2k for the 23. It is good, but it isn’t worth that...

I have just bought so much hooch over the years that I was lucky enough to make good connections and be on the “lists”. So when/if I get a call I buy whatever I can.

How do you pick which primo to grill on?
Posted on 11/10/18 at 8:24 am to Sherman Klump
One is setup with the firebox divider and one is not. So depends what I’m cooking and for how many. Or sometimes one looks a little lonely so I show it some love
. Also have had them both going with different cooking styles.

This is my modest kitchen. My wife and I moved into our first house 4 years ago next month. While it's not the most magazine-worthy, it's extremely functional, and we have cooked some great meals here. We plan to do some upgrades by year 5 (when we have just a bit more put away) but I really like the layout.
Overall view from the dining area. The peninsula is where we do a majority of prep work. We can stand on opposite sides, and generally have enough room.
Another angle, to see more of the other side. The house was built in 1977, but I don't know what year they did the last "update" to the kitchen. The white tiles with 1/2“ pink grout is not my favorite look. But the previous owners must have loved it, because it's on both the floors and the countertops!
Electric range. We don't have gas at our house, so we make do with what we have. I'd also prefer a vent hood instead of the microwave with a filter fan. However, I like having clear space on either side of the range, so this is a nice layout. The spoons are on the left with the salt and pepper boxes. The oils (olive and avocado) are on the right. My wife is a teacher, and she had fun with the label maker one day. That butcher block is for meats only. The towel on the oven handle is the source for most of my complaints about the kitchen. I hate decorative towels, especially when they are in a high traffic area. But she thinks the dog is cute and looks like her baby, so I have up on that battle. (I just complain under my breath every time it gets in my way, which is every time I use the range.)
One of the first things we did when we moved in was install this sink. I can't tell you how much I love the big, single basin. It makes washing dishes so easy, and it prevents us from letting dishes stack in one side of the original double basin sink. This angle also shows off the pink and white again, including the cabinets! Seriously, why was this fashionable?
Here is a look at our dining area. I love that table. My parents got a larger table a few years ago and gave that to us. It's the table I grew up with. Solid oak. The chairs are also sturdy as can be, and very comfortable. In the background, you can see the new windows we had installed a week ago. Still waiting on the blinds to be delivered.
And our modest pantry. We have a Penzey's store in town, so you can see that I like to keep the spice rack well stocked. We try to use most of our food each week, so nothing goes to waste. The pantry is typically bare, especially of prepared/processed foods. We like to just keep ingredients on hand. At the bottom is my stock pot. I'm preparing to break it out next weekend for some gumbo.
Overall, I'm proud of my kitchen. I've worked hard to get it the way I have it. There is a lot of thought and many, many iterations of reorganization that went into it. The cabinets and countertops have minimal clutter, which is my favorite part. One day, it may look prettier. And eventually, I may have a bigger house with a bigger kitchen. But the kitchen doesn't make the meals, so I can live with it!

I had a spice rack on the pantry door like that at our old house and I loved it. For right now I'm keeping them in a drawer next to the cook top, but I'm trying to figure out a better solution

I used the Elfa system from The Container Store. We actually have one in the same parking lot as the Penzeys. Sometimes living in Suburbia is so nice.

I had a rack like that as well in my pantry at my first house. If anyone is ever building or redoing kitchen and has a little extra space I suggest something like this. It needs to be gone through and some stuff tossed and more common used stuff addeed.

We have the same style spice drawer Nola just posted and it’s awesome when cooking. Also the pot filler is pretty handy. My wife designed the kitchen i got to design my outdoor kitchen
Favorite part is having the primo and the gas hookup for the crawfish burner. I’ve since replaced the glass beverage cooler with a bull stingless fridge. Only thing i may add is a stove top burner in between the primo and gas grill
