Not everyone sees it that way.

And no, bars can't be open on Super Bowl Sunday here, although I think they do allow some modifications to the blue laws on Super Bowl Sunday. At least I think they did, before they changed it to only after 11 instead of no alcohol at all.

you would be surprised by how many states dont sell alcohol on sundays. my ex used to go to college in hartford, conn and they dont sell alcohol on sundays. we used to have to drive up to mass to get beer. really stupid if you ask me.

Not sure how much truth there is to this, but I heard that when Baton Rouge was being considered as a possible site to move the sugar bowl to after Katrina for that one year, the BR politicians were not willing to budge on changing the open bar policy on Sunday.

I know that this probably cost the Bulldog alot of money not being to open on Sundays during football season.

Does BR do a special or something about bars being open on Super Bowl Sunday? I've always attended house parties and never thought about that.

When I worked in the industry, I was told that bars in BR were allowed to open a certain number of Sundays per year, it was pretty low, maybe 3 times in a year - not sure of the number - and they had to serve some type of food even if it was just for that day.
