They have been doing very well. They had to close early on Sunday because the vendors were running out of food after the first week’s sales exceeded expectations.
I have been a few times already and enjoyed every meal.
Also lots of great looking women hanging out in their most of the time FWIW.

How's the seating as far as availability? Obviously Friday night or something is probably tough, but is it pretty easy to find a seat at slower times?

I went Saturday at 4:30ish and there were seats available everywhere. We ate ramen and were the only people sitting at their stand.

Checked it out tonight. The spot is really cool, and I had a good time. I got Datz Italian, someone else got Chow Yum Phat, someone else got Govt Taco. Everyone enjoyed the food.

One suggestion would be for the market as a whole to adapt a buzzer method for orders. Waiting for your food to come out is the perfect time to hit the bar vendor, but the bar is kinda frantic so if your food comes out while you're there, the food spot is screaming for you at the top of their lungs to no avail.

Had a buddy go last night and he said it was a hotbox in there--the A/C couldn't keep up. What was your experience, LL?

Yeah, the chaos of waiting for your order needs some attention. It is clumsy. But overall, I like the place.

i wanted to check it out last Sunday but didnt know how it was with kids. It doesnt strike me as a place that is setup for a table requiring two highchairs.

No way I'm taking my kids. Like you, I have two under three. It's just not conducive to young kids for dinner, IMO.

That is what I thought. I know someone mentioned they have a play area for kids or something like that but from all the reports I have heard, none of them struck me as a place to go if your kids require highchairs.

I didn't notice the temperature to be high.

The order thing is a cluster. People nonstop yelling names. Just get the damn buzzer things and be done with it.

Had the ramen. It was ok. I wouldn't order it again.

I honestly will probably never suggest going there in the future when someone asks where I want to go get food

Didn't hate anything about it. I just wouldn't go out of my way to go there. Nothing is drawing me there that I can't get closer to my house elsewhere

Went Sunday... Most of the vendors were closed so we walked out along with most others. Doubt we go back

I disagree here. Haven’t had the ramen, as that doesnt interest me... but really enjoyed the other 3 vendors (Pizza, Taco, & Fete) I have tried. Offered White Star to a coworker yesterday for lunch. It’s not a bad spot to grab a beer after work w a buddy, either.

Definately not an infant-friendly place, but I would have no hesitation takin my 12 year old in there if I had to do so. It reminds me a lot of a downtown vendor mall in Little Rock, just smaller and cleaner.

The only thing holding me back from stopping by is that I live n South BR and am never, randomly, n that area. This should be a very good thing for Mid City tho.

Supposedly they are gonna work out the top floor for business meetings/etc soon. Could be a nice alternative for a happy hour biz mtg. Maybe they will put in a big screen.

+1 on the buzzer/food notification system. That’s definately needed.

Enjoyed the food too, but Rocca has pizza that is just as good without the chaos of the food hall. Rock Paper Taco is delicious and down the street from home. Umami and 9 Dragon have good ramen. Plus Soji is about to open and will surely have outstanding Asian food.

Like already said, I’d go back with friends and I’m glad we have the place. It just doesn’t demand a return trip since nothing is there that I want and can’t get elsewhere. And the process of ordering and hopping around would keep me from wanting to go back just us two.

They won’t be. I believe many of them are closed on Sundays. Which I’m not sure why that pissed off the poster above.

Oh well, guess I'll wait. Maybe I'll hit up Rock-Paper-Taco and then the Barbosa bbq popup.

They posted on Facebook which vendors are open on Sundays now, seems like a good enough selection to warrant a visit.

We went last week for the first time and had Dat'z pizza. Fig + Prosciutto pizza was amazing. The Mouton bar is also pretty solid.
