I like going by there for a nice quiet drink. I hate when a bunch of drunk students are in there playing pool and acting asses of themselves. Good riddance.

At the Cove now. Story is about 10% true. Dudes numbered about 8. Several polite requests to chill out. Mid-week crowd, not rowdy like Friday or Saturday. Spiked pool cue after several warnings led to one dude being asked to leave. Bartender in question sorry he missed out on $4 tip. Although he made it up from the others in the bar that were grateful.

Ha, I'm still around here. That sounds about right to me. There were no warnings but the bartender said he did. I'll go with TigahRag and believe the truth is somewhere in the middle. If you really there, then tell the bartender sorry because I like the place but we weren't the raucous crowd that should of been kicked out. The 'regulars' were just sitting there and we all the way out playing pool. Didn't think this would turn into such an ordeal but as a patron still think they were in the wrong.
Also, would you really think I expected anything else then the story you just wrote. I made up everything. Only 10% was true

Oh I did this and was on Rodney's summer team with Randy Luker back in the mid 80's.
Darran and I went to school together.
I sucked though.

Yeah, their internet was down due to the storm, so he read this thread on my iPhone. He acknowledged poster had been in before, and that they didn't ask the whole crowd to leave, just the spiker. I made sure said bartender was tipped well when we left to make up for any shortfall from the night before.

i knew it wasn't a case of the pool stick being merely, accidentally "dropped" .. in a story like this .. the truth will prolly lean harder toward the bartender because they don't want to kick people out ...

I personally really like the place. I enjoy various types of good beer and to watch in on a flat screen tv while I relax and talk to friends. It isn't a place to chase tail.
