37) De Librije (Zwolle, Netherlands)
I've been to their tamale festival.
...tasted like horse.

last night.
duck hearts with dandelion [mustardy vinaigrette]
Whole hearts, dandelion shoots, with the vinaigrette. served warm. awesome.
cured seatrout, dill, cucumbers [creamy vinaigrette]
very nice...everything on the menu has these kind of simple descriptions, but it's not like these 'fancy' places that have this and then do a spherification of cucumber with a seatrout foam or something. it's just simple, good stuff.
lamb's tongue, broad beans, anchovies.
best dish easily. beans were fresh and probably lighly cooked. no visible anchovies, it was just part of a light sauce i believe. the tongues were tender, pulled apart. and just good good good. tongues were served cut in half i believe, along the length.
1star michelin restaurant i think, top 50 in the world per this magazine, paper napkins and table cloth, i love it. i think the table next to me ordered the suckling pig, but they got there earlier than i did, so i could just see the huge stacks of skin and pieces piled up.
heart and tongue sound weird but they dont actually have really strong flavors like a liver or something imo.

Daniel- Awesome (3 course tasting menu, w/ amuse bouche, 4-5 different bread selections, and 2-3 mid course tasting treats, unbeliveavble service and attention to detail)
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon-Awesome (8 course tasting Menu) best gaspacho i've ever had, mushroom soup with poached egg was unreal, mashed potatoes were incredible
WD-50- Molecular gastronomy, Interesting, but was a bit of a let down(12 course tasting menu) was hit or miss with the courses, all the items were a play on words, and I dropped $140 and was still hungry when I left

9) Arzak (San Sebastián, Spain)
I have been here and I'm going to assume it's a tribute to the food of the region as most other places I ate in San Sebastian was just as good.
eta: although this place was much more modern

7) Alinea (Chicago, Illinois)
I find it hard to believe one of those molecular gastronomy joints actually serves top 10 in the world tasting food.

I would add "El Aljibe" in Havana to that list.
Their signature chicken dish is the best that you'll ever have.
