Anyone interested in doing a Gaming Board written RPG campaign?

Simple enough. I can GM. I write the prompt, you tell me what you want to do, I’ll give you what to roll, and then, the scenario will play itself out

Like in a thread? I haven't done a table top rpg since high school, but I'd be willing to give it a shot.
How would you handle people going afk for long periods? 24 hour time limit or you make their move for them?

Yeah, just a thread. Not going to be too serious. I am going to try and be more roleplaying focused to give people a chance to give longer answers.
As to the game…. Obviously have to be a extremely simplified and extremely roleplay focused
Basic baselines for types of games
Alien RPG - survival horror, space, scary
Pendragon RPG - Arthurian legend, knights in shinning armor
Call of Cthullu - investigating strange weird cosmic horror stuff in the 1920s
Pirate Borg - do you like Pirates of the Caribbean? Do you like silly pirate stuff in an apocalyptic setting where the undead have arisen and people smoke their remains to get magical abilities

I would be game
However I’ve never played table top games before so I have no idea how it works even in person. Idk if I would be a very good player online lol

My choice: whichever the GM is most interested in.

This is probably pretty close to my ability level.

It’s fine. We don’t have to be very rules heavy about it. Here’s what I see as an example
GM: your caravan enters the haunted forest. Long tendrils of fog curl around your feet and you feel a chil” settle over you. The gloom is oppressive and for the first time you truly worry about achieving your goal of delivering the bounty. What are tou going to do to protect your bounty
Player 1: I would like to scout ahead a little bit. While I’m a little afraid of the forest, I am a great tracker and I can keep us from walking into a trap whether from man or beast or spirit
Player 2: this fog concerns me. I tell the caravan guard master to tie all the wagons and carriages together by rope. Then I’m going to go and sit in the carriage we’re transporting the bounty in to… keep him company
Etc etc etc

I will look into it after work today

I texted my woman if she would like to participate and she asked if she could be unspeakably evil
She likes BG3 a lot. Would this basically be that but over the internet with people on this board? How will the dice roll stuff go?

We’d do it text on this board. Don’t have time to really look into how to do over discord or anything yet.
I will call for a roll and you can use a dice app and you just have to be honest.
For now, I think to do pirate borg because that’s really simple. Roll d20 and roll under 12. Also the game is wacky and being a ships crew simplifies it

She said she would like to try it so we are down to play. I dont know if you need us to play as 2 separate players or just together whatever is fine.

Does she have a profile? Otherwise, you can just post for her and yourself

I'm in. My character will be more cynical that I am IRL. Well, maybe not. I only did AD&D realms, but can figure out GURPS or whatever else your ideas are based on. As long as it's asynchronous. What happens when an encounter happens on Friday night and people are wrapped up with kid issues for 36 hours, for example?
