I'm interested in seeing what it looks like moving forward. I am more interested in FO3 remastered since it is the only one I skipped. I'll get it day 1 if it isn't released near or soon after Red Dead 2.

You realize Destiny is essentially an MMO, right?
I don't know anything about Destiny. I was mostly responding to the "without reliance on multiplayer" aspect of the post.

Not towards you JetsetNuggs. The amount of speculation in this thread is unreal haha
I LOVE the PvE side of Destiny and how it is. I wish more games were like it.

Agreed.
I'm super stoked for E3 this year.

Oh gotcha. Yeah, I'm waiting on gameplay before judgement.
If it's like Elder Scrolls Online I will no doubt be disappointed.
If it's a combination of traditional fallout aspects with good online activities I'll definitely buy that.
I just don't want it to feel like it isn't even a fallout game. There's a specific feel to it.

If there's a possibility that I can get sniped by some random moron while questing, I won't buy it. It's a pretty easy line not to cross.

Doesn't sound like it will be. They did say there will be quests to do, but if it's modeled after the other survival games, a large portion of your time will be scrounging for supplies to build shelter and weapons. The settlement building was never a big appeal to me in 4, but I've always wished I could get more into it. Maybe they will tweak it in a way that's more.........fun.

I've been waiting to hear about the Elite Controller 2 to come out. Hopefully they announce it then.

Yeah, you probably won't want to play this game

You guys realize this is a message board, right?
I'll admit I'm super passionate about this series, but I hope I haven't gotten personal with anything. If so, apologies.

Haha. I was just trying to save you energy!

That's where I get excited. I spent way too much time building settlements. It was my favorite part of F4.
My sticking point, probably the same as others in this thread, is multiplayer reliance.
If I need other people, I don't want the game. That's my only problem with Destiny. None of my friends play it, so I can't do raids. It's all about the reliance.

I'm with you. I think I put around 80 hours into FO4 yet never beat the game. I didn't touch the DLC either. I just....dropped it. I never felt like building was worth it. Just gave me more chores with zero payoff.

I'm the same way but for different reasons. I'd like to do raids but a) married with kids, gaming time is really limited, and b) they never did us any favors by not allowing a legit matchmaking system for those.
Were you into strikes? That's really all the end game content I got into and the matchmaking worked just fine for that.
Posted on 5/30/18 at 2:47 pm to imjustafatkid
well, in most survival games, you can choose to play on a PVE server or play solo

As big a fan of the building as I am, this was the only part that wasn't fun.
It would be fun having to defend your shite against raiders. They need to give you a reason to build it up.

There was payoff, just too much of a grind IMO to get to it.
Setting up the supply lines between settlements so you could access crafting supplies from any settlement you were at seemed like it would be really handy, but I essentially just kept going back to the Red Rocket truck stop.

Strikes are cool but the raids are a pivotal part I just can't access.
Matchmaking fixes a ton of problems. Bethesda needs to take note if they want a legitimate online experience.
