Also one of the big reasons I'm sticking with destiny is the hope that one of the future iterations of the game allows you to jump in your spaceship and zoom around the solar system. Believe that was one of the original ideas for the game that disappointed people it wasn't in the original at release.
Will be epic if they're ever able to implement it.

I think the prevailing theory is they wanted to distance themselves as much as possible from the colossal cluster frick that Destiny ended up being. They made good on stuff, but it was a long road. Production shakeups and scrapping the story a year before release, plus Activision demanding certain people be cast for voice roles. Not what they promised, and it probably made more sense to effectively hit reset.

Got to 252 light last night, been doing strikes and a few pvp matches. Really enjoying the game so far. I haven't ran into any issues like zoning in or anything that I've heard other people dealing with. Only had the "contacting destiny servers" once so far.

Gave Nightfall a try last night. No bueno. Probably try again tonight and try to speed through it. We are between 240-247 power right now. Started an alt character as well.

From the guys in my clan who have run the nightfall, they've said not to even try it until your at 260+.
I'm at 251 and haven't tried it, but they they ran with three 265'ish guys and said it wasn't easy.
