This game for me is more about exporing the unknown, just like EQ was. I think the curious type of player will like it more than the hack and slash type.

Yep. I was really hoping to like this game too, but had a feeling I wouldn't. I went in playing the demo trying to like it but just couldn't really get in to it at all. Oh well. Plenty of games to be played out there.

How the frick do I make farmland?
I have a wooden hoe, an stone hoe, and a iron hoe. None of them when shopping at dirt make farmland.

I said the EXACT same thing. I bought it for my wife because she liked the demo. I watched her play the tutorial and thought it was meh. I decided to play with Fool Saturday and got hooked big time. I probably have 24 hours in it already. It's alot of fun playing with people and building cool arse houses and setting birdmans house ablaze.

You need to have dirt with water touching it. You press left trigger with the hoe equipped to turn the dirt into farmland and then plant the wheat seeds.

You can't step on the hoed land or it will turn back into dirt.

You'll also want to put a fence around the farm because if an animal steps on it, they can frick it up too.

they can be up to 4 spaces away from water btw.

I almost let his house get blown up last night but was being a nice neighbor. I went back into my original world because I was lagging in his and I needed to recoup some of the lost resources and tools from my last venture into the caves.
I was checking everyones house to make sure everything was stsill in tact. Birdman had a creeper and a zombie in his huge dirt box/home. I almost teased the creeper into blowing out the wall but decided to kill him and put up more torches so no more spawned in there.
