definitly the way to go, espcially with the economy the way it is. i have friends from college taking this route and they are going to be far better off than the guys who settled for a small computer repair shop type job.
keep going after the certs for sure tho. and if you can get the air force to pay for it, go back to school and get a GIS degree. GUARANTEED hire in the oil/gas industry. The need for GIS guys is blowing up in the oil/gas field and the new hires are banking.
I wish i could go back and get this degree just for the hell of it. Not to mention the available doors you will have with the degree. You could continue down the IT path or switch over to oil/gas fields.
