#12 Nebraska came into Reser stadium looking to roll on towards another victory. Unfortunately for them, Oregon State had different plans for the Cornhuskers. The two teams duked it out during the low-scoring first half. Going into half-time, Oregon State lead 10-7. They came out in the 3rd and put up another 7. Nebraska was finally able to find a way into the endzone early in the 4th. The rally just wasn't enough though, as the Beaver's defense held up. A late TD on the ground sealed the Cornhusker's fate.
The Beavers leaned on the running game, putting up 211 yards and only 92yds through the air. Senior running back Darren Brown contributed 18 carries for 166yds. He had this to say regarding the change in game plan, "Coach noticed that our run blocking was just on point. Every time it looked like they had us stopped, we'd get the 1st down. Burton was throwing great today, but even he mentioned to me in the huddle that our WR's were consistently covered. So, at halftime, coach said we were going to just keep pounding the rock and I was up for the challenge."

Yea I tried a new defensive scheme against Tennessee and I really payed for it. I could have lost my game because of it, and I couldn't stop Tennessee to save my life, so it told me something, go with the old girl that brought me to the dance.
