I just set the playbook to option run. It looked good in different play sets and I could still pass some. I was trying to run the ball more and to be a little less predictable.
The passing plays were too deep and took to long, so pressure was getting to me. It wasn't pretty.

My offense is based on easy passes and zone runs with a flexbone option built into the pistol.
Slants, crossing routes, ins, outs, and a few verticals for when they start trying creeping up. The problems that plagued me at the start were passing plays that took way too long to develop so it's really helped me.

I said I would unleash the fury and I did. I got my first shutout in this league ever 70-0!
OSU goes back to their normal pass dominated offense and demolishes #20 Miami(OH).
Once again it was the defense being at the right place at the right time. Swarming the field, knocking down balls, and pressuring the QB.
My defense held them to 54 yards on the ground and 114 yards in the air, for a total of 168. Not bad. Won't be that dominate against a user, but feels good now.
Offense was firing on all cylinders this game, passing for 477 yards and 173 rushing. The run/pass mix needs some more work. Lost my QB for 5 weeks ( what's new?). He was suppose to just hand the ball off and for some reason, he never did and he got leveled and fumbled the ball. Luckily, my o-lineman picked it up for the TD.
At the end of last season I posted that I was losing interest in this game. I have started logging down a few stats and keeping up with my score by quarter on paper, just to get into the game more. It seems to be working right now. I'm into this season big time. A fresh season always helps, but I like the things I'm seeing with this team as a whole. I have some good depth. The user games with two of the league's best back to back will be a killer.

Northwestern beats Maryland 51-31
I had them shutout going into halftime but decided to let it all hang out and just play around. I put my second team in for the 4th quarter and they dropped 21 on me making it a lot closer than it should have been.
Got my first kickoff return for a touchdown.
I really like having maxed out coordinators. Completely changes the game.
ETA: they threw for 351 on me and I held them to 11 rushing yards. I'm gunning for the #1 rush defense spot.

Won 63-21 against my old team. That offense is still pretty good for LA tech. Got sacked on the 1 trying to sc ore 70 and time ran out. Had my backups in so I don't look at it as running the score up
