Great game nelly.. I was having a heartattack when you got on the goaline in the OT

When you got on the goal line I couldnt help but think how I blew the game from a missed FG at the end of the 1st half.

and with LSU RED retiring I think we can advance to next week

We will advance today around lunch. Red was going to get the boot today anyway so good to know he left. As far as I know we will not replace him. Don't know how this affects user games but we need to move on.

I think he can select an option to retire, and I think in the menu where you add players, you can delete them Art.

we have advanced. Red is out. I sent Gugich an invite if someone can tell him he is in if he wants to be Idaho. Luckily Idaho got the W in week 2.

Woo Hoo! I beat #9 Texas Tech on their home field! Signature win of the season for my Mustangs!

SMU 24 - #9 Texas Tech 21

I stopped them four times in a row on the 1 yd. line in at the end of the first quarter. Made all of the difference in the game.

so i quit my first game, i got pissed when it was 28 -21 then all of a sudden it was 55 - 21. I got pissed watching desormeaux throwing behind everyone..and holding penalties after every good play...so without even thinking i quit basically saying frick you illini so i simmed the second game instead of playing it since i quit...not that it made any difference... just made it look closer.

things that pissed me off in the first game:
illini got the ball first and i shut them down for negative yardage, well on the punt my guy doesn't even attempt to catch the ball it hits him illini recover then score on the following play. my ball i drive all the way down only to stall and desormeaux overthrows a wide open receiver. illini score then i score, its 21- 7 and i quickly score with about 30 seconds before half, of course next kickoff returned for a td, i got it as close as 28 - 21 and i was driving int td, int td, int td after the first one i just started moving my guys so he could score..so i quit then simmed.

Well 6 INT's didn't help in the Rice game, but mainly, in my opinion, it was the fact that Rice was a rivalry game in their house. You know how the computer can get sometimes...ridiculously challenging on AA mode.

Zach Rhodes, my starting QB kept throwing BS INT's on crossing routes where the receiver was wide open... the receiver would be 5 yds away from any defender, I would be standing still in the pocket and use directional passing to lead the receiver, but he would throw it 5 feet behind the receiver for the pick. That, and I couldn't stop Rice for the life of me.

But this is what I expected, I can never beat Rice with SMU in year one of a Dynasty, seeing as I had played that game in different dynasties, online and off, three times before. FWIW though, I usually lose to Texas Tech by 3-7 points, so that was an improvement.

Other tough games for me, besides the user game with cene, will be Houston and Memphis, and possible Southern Miss.

I was rusty with SMU, haven't played in a while, so since the Rice game, I've been able to re-familiarize myself with the SMU playbook, and I mixed up a lot more running: traps, counters, options and draws, than I had been using. The offensive balance worked nicely.

As for the "D," I had to move away from my 4-4 base I like to play, as I don't have the speed at LB or the coverage skills at CB, FS, or SS to play the man to man that it requires. I have instead switched to an alternate Nickel 3-3-5 and Quarter "D" that utilizes a lot more zone. Seems to be working well.

I figured you were just so used to playing with So.Cal and just speeding past everyone you were taken off guard and never recovered when suddenly the opponent could catch you and even pass you

well alabama gave it to me 34-6. The bad part is it was 7-6 at halftime and i stopped bama on the first possession of the 2nd half. 4 interceptions later the game was out of hand. im really bad
