What does any of that justify?
I don't know what you are asking here. I was just trying to understand how someone being a fan of something equals "I'm going to call them names to imply they have sex with their preferred console."
quote:
But to answer...if you are poor, wouldn't you also be a die hard fan of the one console you can afford to have?
Wouldn't your bias lean that way and you would defend it no matter how cool you though features of another console is?
The answer is yes because no one wants to feel like they have a lesser machine.
I can understand a child thinking this way, but not an adult. There are plenty of things I can't afford (exotic sports cars, giant houses, insanely large televisions, etc.) but I don't dump on those things because I can't have them. I can say "Those things are really nice. I wish I could afford them." and at the same time appreciate what I do have.
To reiterate the analogy, I can admit that Alabama has a good football team and still love LSU. I don't see why any of that has to be mutually exclusive.

Horrible comparison
You are comparing things that are within reach for most middle class people with things that only a handful can afford.
Not even close.
But yes people do buy houses and cars they can't afford. You know the whole $40K millionaires and "keeping up with the Joneses"? It is very real and exist even down to something as simple as a console.
If it didn't exist, we wouldn't have had a housing bubble a few years back and everyone would be driving a Kia like DukkeV.

Are you just trying to be obtuse?
It's pretty obvious "pole Smoker" wasn't at all to imply you have sex with your console.
If you do though, that's your business and to each his own.

b/c it was Sony coming out and clearing any doubt the consumer has had, which MS still has not with some features leaving everyone in limbo.

I thought since the DRM reversal it has all pretty much been laid out there.

You try as hard as you can to hate MS. I'm unsure why, but it's pretty

Am I the only one that will let the games decide which system ill get?

Well you essentially said that anyone who can only afford one console MUST be a diehard fan for that console, unable to admit the merits of the one they didn't choose.
I'm not talking about whether people buy things they can't afford (of course they do), but how loyal they are to the things they can. Can someone admit that the product they didn't go with has it's own pros?
I think there are numerous examples of this and maybe I went too extravagant in my analogy. I bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner ($499.99) over one made by Kirby ($399.99). Are Kirby vacuum cleaners crap? No, I just liked the Dyson features better but the Kirby has a couple of things I wish my Dyson had. And so on and so forth.
But maybe this analogy doesn't work because it's an appliance and not for entertainment? I would argue it actually works better, because a vacuum cleaner is something you actually need (if you have small children), rather than something that would be nice to have.

You do know what pole smoker means, right? I'm being a little literal (and silly) but you paired "Playstation" with a slang phrase that means oral sex. Maybe you can explain what you actually meant?
ETA: Fixed my amusing (and informative!) link.

That's actually pretty cool.

I don't know why you would get one anyway now that you play on PC.
I could maybe understand getting the one for the TV integration and other apps, but as far as getting a console just for games, I don't see any console exclusives yet to justify such a purchase.
I would rather a new vid card.

Obviously E3 isn't the end all be all, but I thought Microsoft murdered Sony in this department at e3.

I'm not getting one at launch, maybe a year in when the exclusives start adding up.

look man...I am not reading that response much less responding to it.
We can go around all day to no avail. It's also pretty obvious you are dead set on just being completely obtuse for the sake of it.
Carry on if you like but I am not a fan of beating a dead horse for the hell of it.

And the kinks in the hardware will hopefully be worked out by then.

I was genuinely trying to understand your thought process for the conclusions you draw, but fine by me.
Thanks for talking.

Well no offense but I don't care if you understand my thought process or not.

And maybe the prices lower in time for the next holiday season. The first year is usually slow with exclusives anyway.

Probably not as much open roaming space in there as there would be in yours.

Xbox also said they have "many" more exclusives to show off in the coming months.
The only way it will really matter though is if they are Xbox exclusives and not just console exclusives.
