It was for me because my brother bought my ps4 for 200 so I could buy the pro for 400 and then we could both play the same game for the price of one. Also I was having a lot of trouble with hard drive space and it was gonna cost 100+ to buy a 1gb Hdd for the ps4 anyway

At least I was right though. Imagine if it were the other way around and Xbone crushed PS4, I don't think I would have made it.
I remember having bookmarked a bunch of posts from those guys that swore by the Xbone, and a few years later after the PS4 wiped the floor with it I was going to bump a few but decided not to and deleted them.
Still wish I saved a few of those Kinect posts.

In that case, yeah it works out. What about just buying one or the other, are the pros of the pro worth the extra? I'm asking you because you might be objective, unlike ultimate hog and his passion boner for anything with Sony in the name.

I mean, seriously, is anyone but 14 year olds who have their parents buying their consoles for them really want the PS5 already? This seems like an incredibly bad idea.

Because of the law of diminishing returns. Those of us in our mid 20s and older remember when the next gen console blew your fricking mind. Really since the original X-Box, I think the only system that has impressed me on a technical level was the Switch. The Wii was a GameCube with a glorified controller, and all the other successors didn’t surprise anyone. Just better graphics.
Sorry, but I don’t care all that much if a game has better graphics than GTA V. This could blow up in their face since no one wants to buy another console at this point.
