It's sad that people can be so ignorant... Just because its called Black College Football Experience doesnt make it racist... I love NCAA football... but it sucks not having SWAC teams in the game or other teams like McNeese St,, Nicholls,, App. State,,, Youngstown State,,, Montana,,, were you can use their playoff system to decide the championship... There are many fans out there of HBCU's and this game would be a change of pace from playing college football with traditional powerhouses like LSU.. Florida.. etc.. There is tradition with black college football and I am sure that is what this game is targeting... But they should have created a game based off Division 1-AA football and included the HBCU's as well..

I'm sorry, but just about every stadium under 40k and sub-par football just doesn't sound exciting to me. I mean, the best I-AA team of recent years, App. State, got destroyed by LSU last year. Imagine a game made completely of Duke-like teams?

I guess it would be okay if they curved the ratings and made the best players in the 90's, but that wouldn't be an authentic experience. Otherwise it just doesn't sound appealing. What makes NCAA so successful is the fun factor and replayability. It's not really fun playing a team that sucks every year, no matter how good of recruits you get.

Honestly do you think that there is a standard for player ratings? they can have a highschool football video game and a 90 is relative to only that game, they dont have to make a rating based on madden equivalents, so do you actually think that the players in BCFX are going to have rating in the 50 and 60's because that would equate to there madden rating and some how it will be unplayable because they suck, what if they made a highschool football game, man how could you possible play that game i mean there rating would be in the 20's and 30's

I think its great that a company that is Louisiana based is attempting to become a player in the video game market and at the same time honoring the experience that got them the education to make a difference in their community and provide jobs and an opportunity in a community that might not have had that exposure before

You just don't get it. NCAA football is white college football. All division 1 teams university's demographics are primarily white students. While the players on the field may be more ethnically diverse, the schools themselves are not. So the majority race game is ncaa football.

But, before I get into race conflicts based on racial transparency of majority races, this really has nothing to do with it. Once again these teams are not represented in NCAA, so this company is simply filling a void and making a product that until now is not offered.

They're not making the game to be intentionally exclusionary of white players. They are not making the game to be racist. They're capturing the aspect of black college football that makes it different from the rest of the schools. If you've ever seen or attended an HBCU football game, you'd know the atmosphere is COMPLETELY different than that of LSU, ULL, ULM, or any other school's football game. These customs go back YEARS. They don't call it SWAC football because it isn't the only conference that's represented. But regardless of conference, things like band-centered exorbitant halftime shows and drumline face-offs are things you DON'T see at LSU football games. Not saying that one is better than the other, I'm just pointing out that the game is capturing those aspects of HBCU football that make it unique.

Do people play the games for the diversity of the fanbase?

You are a sick racist frick, and I hope you choke on your hate.

Heaven forbid that grads of those schools might want to play as their teams once.

I'm sure they will. I have no clue why you care about a game you'll never play, but whatever.

I don't think you understand my point. I was combating the claim of some on this board that it is a form of 'reverse racism' to call this game 'the black college football xperience'.

I was trying to relate the sociological concept of 'racial transperancy'. It states that the majority don't really even recognize their race (it doesn't have to be race, it could be sex, social class, etc..) since the majority of the culture represents them (most movies have them as actors, they are heros in most video games, when they go to the store, school, etc they are not in the minority) However minority races are constantly aware of their race (because they are not represented in same numbers in media, when they go to the store, school, etc... they are the minority, etc...). In a sense they are constantly reminded of their minority status. However, the majority does not understand this position because they have never had to experience it. Reverse racism claims are often due to this, for example I have heard many people complain about there being a BET but there could never have a WET. However, they do not realize that the majority of other stations (nbc, cbs, abc) already cater to whites since they are the majority of the population.

I can't really see where you got racism in my post unless you read it as me being racist against whites. Which is also quite a stretch.
