Since you are the one proposing to trade your 1st round pick for another team's player, I would think that the player you are getting should not be as highly rated as a player you would offer to get a first round pick from another team (as I described above). I think the first round pick should be worth about what kind of player that pick would normally fetch. I think a late first round pick (22-32) would be worth about a 76-79 rated player. If you were to throw in the 75 rated player, I would think that would bump you up to about 82 max. It may not seem like much of an increase in value but you would be able to address a team get a player of your choosing.

Is anybody else having problems with the EA servers.. I have been trying to play madden the past 2 nights.. But it keeps telling me the servers are not available

I think the computer waits for the week to advance before it executes the trade.
