You have a long way to go for it to bite me I bought a new wedge and upgraded balls with all my winnings, I dropped my handicap down to a 64

Im at 68 I think. My biggest problem is missing 8-12 foot putts by inches. usually short

I played on championship greens the other day and that sucked, I used to fight coming up short a lot. I finally got good enough were I am not scared of 4 footers, so I go with enough speed to make the shots now.

how much faster is championship vs tournament?
Posted on 7/1/12 at 5:48 pm to WinnPtiger
10 foot flat putt is hit about 6 feet. where as about 8 feet for tournament.

I might be in for that. Through 2 holes of the grand slam, and the wind is killer

Holy canoly, so many missed opportunities on the greens. shot 69 and it should've been more like 66.
Either way the conditions were extremely tough and I still can't get used to anything slower than Very Fast.
Rolldat, this was a genius idea. In the future I think it'd be fun to have a low scoring day, a medium day, and two killer days. Just something to think about

I may be playing myself out of the grand slam, +3 after 9, I'm putting like dog shite

seriously, the green speed is the biggest determent of scoring. I think for events like these we might wanna think about always having tournament speed

I agree, I can get used to speed but it breaks so much differently depending on the speed.
I played awful anyway, I actually was fighting back to get to even par but I hit into a fairway deep bunker on 15 and it took me 3 shots to get out, ended up triple bogey. I shot +4 76. I've still got an outside shot if Hack doesn't shoot too low

Whats your take on the new Nike ball vs. the Callaway zi?

I haven't played it yet, I actually like the is better than the iz though. I'll play the Nike next time I get balls

Thanks. I just tried to mix it up as much as possible. It was definitely a learning experience.

I've sworn by the iz since they came out on the game but I got a free sleeve on the Nike's and I'm using them for the other tournament and I'm not sure if they're better but I'm playing better with them

Is there some sort of trick to this game? I'm new to it and it just seems extremely difficult to make the ball go to where I want it to. It seems like sometimes my shot was way too short, but when I compensate for it I shoot way over the hole into a bunker. It's probably the most realistic golf game I've played so far because what I shoot on this game is what I shoot in real life.
Also, is there a way to put spin on the ball?
