Lessons are for everyone. After I finally broke 100 I was stuck around 99 for a few months. Went and took a few lessons he saw what was wrong with my swing, fixed it and got me down to a 15.3 by sticking with what he told me. Someone else mentioned they were an 8 and still take lessons.
Golf is an easy game that’s impossible to master.
Lessons are always a good investment

My favorite hole is 17, where you tee off from out of bounds. If you dribble it off the tee, you have to take stroke and distance
I actually birdied that hole in my round of 99 that I posted about. Had my first ever eagle put. That hole can go terribly wrong really fast, or you can have a chance at putting up a solid score. It's a really hard fairway to hit, with OB if you are too short or long. I learned to turn my slice into more of a fade, out of the tee box. Instead of going over the water I try to go over the trees and fade it back over. I smashed one and landed it about 165 out. I decided to go for it, even with the pond and those shrubs left and right, to try to break 100. It would have either cost me my round, or made my round. I landed a 6 iron right past the fringe. Two putted for my only birdie of the day.
I loved 17 too that day. I'll probably hate it the next 5 days though.

I followed my round of 99 with a round of 96 today.
Played, by far, the best round of my life. Driver, irons, chip/pitch shots were all as good as I've ever hit today. My putting kept me out of the 80s. I only had one blow up hole, where I shot 4 over on a par 5. Other than that I was always putting for birdies or pars. Problem was I wasn't making them. I turned a long birdie shot on a par 3 into a double bogey with four puts. Also had 4 three put holes. Guess I'll start spending a lot of my time on the putting green to try to fix that.
I guess one positive coming out of the Corona virus crap is my golf game.

Congrats! I've shot two rounds in the past few weeks that were my best golf to date. Practice your lagging. You can put some tees down or a hula hoop and try to get within that with every putt. As soon as it clicks it's the best feeling. Being able to salvage bad fairway play by not three or four putting is a good thing.
