First time hitting my new Gen 4 driver. Thing was a beauty. First PXG club I’ve ever owned but I felt so confident standing over the ball. Weighted nicely. Only missed a few fairways but all well within play. Had 2 blow up holes with an 8 and a 7. Wasn’t really out there to “shoot a score”. Had 6 Red Bull vodkas. But if it weren’t for those 2 blow up holes could have shot around even par.

The driver was so nice though, gents. My friend I played with shot a 75. From the tips. He’s a mega millionaire from Lafayette. Great guy. Great family. In his 50s but built like a tank. Don’t catch us in a scramble.

Funny how people score differently...

I never put the actual score of the hole, just what my net was on said hole. Makes it easier to count-up.

When I was younger I played so much I didn’t need a scorecard. I had all that shite in my head and could recall every shot and score. I struggle on single holes to do that now at times.

So, some old coonass went up there and stomped you on your home turf?

Something like that. We played at his club. So technically his turf. But he beats me a lot. He’s also retired and plays 6 days a week. I’m okay with it. Lol.

I’ve never even taken this into consideration but reading it makes a lot of sense. Might go in next week for a score card fitting. But in all seriousness it seem more efficient to record the net

Great round, baw. What happened on that 8? Shooting +6 including two holes totaling +7 would eat me up.

I’ve had my eye on a PXG can you answer a couple questions for me from hour experience with it. First I see you have a 7.5 degree which is what I want also. Right now I’m using my PING 9 degree and I love it but I just want the PXG. What is your average distance gain with the 7.5 versus a 9 degree of comparable quality? Lastly, is it harder to work the ball, primarily when you want to hit a solid cut? Distance is no issue to me as much as workability. I have plenty of distance with my 9 but I have a high ball flight as it is and I think a 7.5 would be better for me. Thanks for the help!

Approach came up a half club short and went in water. Had to take drop from about 110 out. Next shot was wedge about a half Club long over the green. Chip here. Putt there. And we’re at an 8.

I am on the fence. I have two options. Most likely his third letter of his last name starts with an “N”. However, it could also be an M.

I really don’t know pawdna. I like the 7.5 trajectory. Seems to be more penetrating though the air. Getting lots of good roll out.
I’d recommend buying one. I don’t regret my purchase.

I worked the ball well with the driver but I think that has more to do with the shaft than the head.
