I put it behind the 4 majors and Players. I love the Ryder Cup. It brings a ton of emotion out of the players too. I'll definitely be watching next weekend

I freakin love it!!!! But its behind Masters, US Open and Open Championship in terms of importance. Better viewing experience though because even my wife will sit down and watch a little

I love the majors but there’s just something different at the Ryder cup. There’s so much passion and I like watching team golf.

It’s also very enjoyable to hear loud cheers when someone hits it in the water or misses a putt.

I love the Ryder cup but it’s format leaves much to be desired. It here are 8 matches the first two days and 12 the last day….so 28 matches total. 8 of them are in a totally contrived format of alternate shot which makes no sense. I’ve played in Ryder cup style event for many years and that format is affectionately known as “screw your partner” and is the antithesis of what golf is about. The euros couldn’t touch the American team for the past few decades on stroke play events which is what they all play 99% of the time. I think there is one team play event (New Orleans) and only 1 match play event (austin) so it’s not something they get much practice at. Personally I love match play and wish there was more of it..but since there’s not it’s a total guess as to who has the better team.

Really? The Euros have dominated since the early 2000s.

Less than a major, but greater than the rest. The different format and team play is the dramatic draw.

Crowds should be loud and colorful. I will watch it over football, especially this year.

I WILL BE THERE!!!!

Besides, my AU Tigers are playing Ga South Peachtree Institute or something.

Huge deal, to me at least.

But I didn’t watch all of the event in Paris, the US effort was so pitiful. Another lackluster performance like that & I’ll start losing interest. Nothing worse than watching guys who don’t care, in any sport

I love alternate shot. Adds a different layer and a mental aspect to it. There’s more pressure on the player because someone else has to deal with your shots. It’s the most team part of the Ryder cup. Best ball is just a normal go play your ball and try to score. Obviously Sunday matches individual

Honestly I wish there was something that they could do to make it even more of a team aspect.

I love it, mostly because the format can be fun to watch. I don't really get into the patriotism of it though. There were some years I liked more of the European players than the American ones.

As far as watching golf tournaments, I'd put it right behind The Open Championship and The Masters.

Jeez, you suck on every board.

I would like to see them play 6/6/6 instead of 18 alt shot

That's why I wished that Patrick Reed was on the team instead of Kopeka. With all of his faults Reed wants to represent our Country every time. I respect that.

USA USA USA !

His match with Rory was must see TV.

Most exciting Ryder Cup match I've ever seen.

I love love love match play but watching a US lose to some obscure Euro (I know they are great but not a household name) is infuriating. I’m sure I’m wrong about his record but that’s what always pissed me off about Tiger when he was out of this world and wouldn’t dominate for the team. Seems to me the Americans are/were to spoiled and comfortable to be bothered with a team event. That’s why Reed was awesome to me (and any other dude laying his emotions out there for country pride). Just my opinion

It's a pretty shite slate of football this weekend in the college ranks. Kudos to the NCAA for scheduling like this the weekend of the ryder cup
