Lessons in the Woodlands

I’ve never had lessons before but been playing about 10 years. Any recs in the Woodlands area? Also what is the usual cost?
Would really like to concentrate on driver and getting as much distance as I possibly can. Willing to do whatever it takes at this point.
Have no desire to go to a GolfTec type place.

Alan Hodde at Blackhorse is very good. I worked with him for a year or so. Derek Hooper at Royal Oaks is also really good. Not sure where JJ wood is at these days, but he’s a cool dude and good instructor

First you actually have to play golf and stop living fairy tales.

Highly recommend Craig Kanada at The Woodlands Country club. Book a lesson with him at the Player Course Refinery Teaching Center. He teaches based upon your skill level, so he can either keep it real simple or go into real detail. Cost is $150 Hour

Do you need to be a member of the country club? I’ve heard his name referenced elsewhere as well.

When it was owned by ClubCorp/Invited you could get lessons, I think the same still applies since they were bought by Arcis Golf a couple of months ago. I just checked the website and it’s still the same as when ClubCorp owned the country club. It’s also nice to be able to use the practice range and short game area at The Refinery the day of your lesson.
