The PGA needs to get it's head out of it's arse and realize the euro tour can easily compete in terms of purse and level of competition

The Tour and Euro signed a strategic alliance last year. And no, they can’t compete in money or talent. The best Euros play the PGA Tour

Grow the game more so from the junior level. Play some smaller venues with bigger names. Broader coverage during tournaments (not just those in the mix). Give more insight about the players, their preparations, their lifestyle outside of the ropes.

Rory hasn’t kicked anyone in the balls since 2014.

“Surely you jest.”

That might be the best opening to threatening letter ever.

I’m still waiting for someone to explain where the money is going to come from. Look at the PGA’s tax return and let’s figure out where money is being spent that can be given back to the players.

Detailed tax returns for 2018, 2019 are available.

They claim revenue of about $1.5B. Sitting on $72M in cash.

1.5B revenue.
1.4B Other expenses, with 500 Independent Contractors receiving over 100K.
Would have to add up all the prize money paid (all tours I guess) to see how much of that 1.4B is going other places. That is really the only number that is open to question.
Interesting that the former commissioner is still drawing a full 5M salary. Loose change in that enterprise, but not bad if you can get it.

Hell, they are paying players on the advisory board almost a mil a year.

I’ve never operated a 501c but that’s what I took as their ‘reserve’ filing from 2018.

Guess it could be value places on other assets?

I have a hard time understand why Phil is being dropped. Surely it’s not just for his comments about the Saudis being scary.

They just had a major event there a few weeks ago and nobody had issues with players taking the Saudi money in that instance. EPL has Middle East money majorly involved and a Russian owner that earned his money from state business. NBA has a huge money coming in from China.

I’m guessing the PGA basically told his sponsors it’s either cut him or else. I can’t see his comments being that volatile.

Baw made billions taking ownership of old USSR businesses public for pennies on the dollar.

You cant see the difference in players participating in a tournament and Phil actively working with a group intent on harming the PGA?
He’s been directly involved in actively creating the operational procedures for the SGL with the admitted intent to damage the PGA.
That’s a lot different than playing a tournament and winning some money.

I’d think the sponsors dropping him are as
Much in response to his role with the SGL as it is to being woke.
