Saw tonight that the golf channel showed liv highlights of the playoff, the final leaderboard, and discussed the tournament for about 60 seconds.
Because that’s the smart play. They were being so petulant. Their petulance was the only thing giving LIV some positive publicity. “Look how much they hate/are afraid of us. That proves we are legit”

Don’t act like that. LIV just produced a 0.14 Saturday rating, down from 0.20 last week. Show their highlights, don’t be petulant, and make their product, not your reaction to it, the story

They continue to live in your weak mind, Danny Lee won 4 million over watching some frickin nerds named Taylor Moore and Adam Schenk choke it out at some gay snake pit while Speef remained mediocre apparently.

The only thing in anyones head is me in yours. You can’t help yourself. People are discussing LIV golf on a golf message board. I’m sorry that triggers you

In the past week I have also called out the pga tour for shite I don’t agree with, and two posts up I called out the golf channels bullshite.

All you do is suck LIVs dick and follow me around like a lost puppy

So how do highlight shows work as far as media rights?

Since NBC bought the golf channel and calls themselves the ‘official home of the pga tour’; I’m sure they paid a pretty penny to the pga to be able to do that.

But what about these highlight reels? Does nbc also have to pay LIV for those highlights? And if so, is brandel gonna deride the network he works for for sending mbs money?

Watched some LIV for the first time ever. Caught the playoffs and that was it.

I thought the team aspect was kind of dumb originally but I actually don't mind it. The four guys in the playoffs whole team were there watching at the end. There seems to be a little bit of healthy team competition and camaraderie (though they need to mix the teams up). After the win Danny said that he likes it because even if you're out of competition for the win, every shot still matters. Which is true considering the financial boost of a team win as well.

I don't know how often they do it but the overhead drone camera angle with a pin drop showing where each players ball is is a pretty good idea. That view gives you a nice look at just how much farther they might be from one another and you can see the difficulty of the shot/who has the better angle much better. PGA tour needs to add that imo.

David Feherty was a national treasure for a lot of golf fans, I've never liked him. He has always been one of my least favorite announcers in all of sports. I'm sure everybody hates him now that he switched. But he fits in well with the laid back theme. Overall the broadcast was just fine.

PGA seriously needs to let guys wear shorts if they want to. It is such a dumb rule.

One thing that looked bad on LIV was after the win when they were interviewing Danny he said something like "I wasn't sure if I could win again, but this reinforces that I still can." There had to have been some Saudis that spit their Slurpie up when he said that. Just felt like he was saying I don't think I could win on Tour but I can win here, which is probably true.

I agree that the team format is interesting and one of the few real value added things LIV has done so far.

As for shorts, I was in favor of shorts until a few years ago, but the few times I've seen Tour practice rounds or checked in on LIV, most of those dudes have gross looking chicken legs that I don't want on my TV. Keep the pants.
