The clubs are too long for me to use. The club face is sitting up at an angle. It’s basically sitting on the heel when I hold it.
I may be way off, but wouldn’t it be easier and less money to get the lie angle bent by a club fitter? I’ve had that done for my wedges when I’m tinkering and it worked great.

It depends on his preference. If he doesn’t mind the longer club, then yea just get them bent. But if he wants the shorter club, get them cut. If his lie angle is currently upright, shortening it will fix the lie on its own, that is if it’s cut the right amount.
