that's because the US PGA has turned into bombers.
where as these competitions can set a course up to benefit their play style.
it benefited shot shapes and putters, not bombers.
took us a few days to figure the greens out then the better players prevailed.

If Els could have grown the rough in like Bjorn did in Paris I bet he would have, and the Internationals would have won . The US doesn't hit fairways and doesn't putt particularly well. We'd beat their asses at Top Golf , though
