I’m 36 and play in sandals 1/2 the time. My swing has never been called anything close to slow.

A friend of mine has a pair and recommended them. They look and feel like 300 dollar shoes.

300 is market value for a quality leather golf shoe. That’s not crazy. They will last 5+ golf seasons at least.
