It really amazes me that a hole like this gives professional golfers such a headache. Same with 12 at Augusta.

Yeah i was just thinking that. Because they are out in the wide open with no obstruction on the right and left.

You are in the “stadium” when you are teeing off fully surrounded. Problem is what is happening above.

Seems like I remember in the past that they would have a flag at the top of the TV camera crane on 17 that would help the players gauge the wind up there. Did not see it this year.
