What do you attribute the ridiculous distances todays Tour pros are hitting the ball? The ball, equipment, nutrition, exercise, instruction or a combination?

The ball doesn't spin sideways and the gear effect of the equipment. When you aren't scared of the ball not getting off of the ground, you can swing as hard as you can

I can vaguely remember when I was much younger and playing to a 3 handicap, I would hit on average a PW 100 yards, a 7 iron 150 yards, a 5 iron 175 yards, and a driver 225 - 250 yards. That was roughly 50 years ago.
