I write strokes most of the time unless playing with some family who write to par and then I'll do it that way.

I have. Turns out an off center fold to allow names to be visible for both front and back nine fits my pencil the best. Pre marked diagonal score boxes also helped me out. Went with graphite in my pencil as well for smoother writing tempo.
