So, my endocrinologist put me on this last week in addition to Tresiba/metformin.

My endocrine issue is I still produce insulin, but not enough, and my insulin sensitivity is highly variable. I’m not obese, so I don’t have much room to go there (but there is some room especially now that I’m getting older).

So does anyone else here have experience?

Monday I woke up with a pretty nasty hypo that took 45g carbs to lift myself out of, but by Monday afternoon a 20 mile bike ride couldn’t drop me out of the 200mg/dl range. Has anyone else seen blood sugar swing radically starting Ozempic?

Type 1 Diabetic here. One thing I think most Diabetics do is take in way too much sugar to address hypoglycemia. Facts are quick sugar still needs some time to work it’s magic, meaning if I take a gulp of Gatorade that takes five minutes to make me feel better then I should just patiently wait the five minutes. What most do is continue eating sugar for those five minutes until they feel better and they create the opposite reaction moving from hypo to hyperglycemia because they took in too much sugar. Facts are the gulp of Gatorade was probably all they needed.
