I can't seem to get a straight answer on this. I had thought it was a pretty sturdy "no", but seems like I'm hearing different things now.

Relative to whole food, especially meat...no

It's better than nothing. If you eat stuff like daily fresh fruit, there is no point. If you don't, take a vitamin.

Does a can of V8 cover it?

It's a simple point, but one that we overlook. The vast majority of us (including me) builds fantastic scenarios of eating three colors of vegetables a day, etc., but that's not real life if your body isn't your job. Are greens mixes better than eating 7 different veggies a day? Well, you're likely to have 80%+ compliance with greens in a shaker than trying to actually eat the real food. Optimal, no. Better than hammering a double double in a lettuce wrap, probably.

I think PureVitaminClub amounts to .30c a day for the multi. Don't lie, how many of the vegetables in your beef and broccoli do you actually eat? I throw away tons of "it sounds like a good idea" food.

What is the bioavailability of the vitamins and other nutrients in the meat vs those in the vegetables?

depends on the person and the actual vitamin but the short answer is yes but it varies

good article that compares bioavailability compared to food
