And it’s not idiotic, what’s idiotic is continuously harping metabolic health but every time we test BMR on people it’s pretty consistent. Just maybe TDEE matters and actually getting off ones fat arse and moving around might help

His biggest problem is he equates "losing weight" with being healthy. I can literally lose weight eating nothing but Snickers and Kit Kat's. It doesn't mean I am actually healthy. Those are two distinctly different things.

There is zero positive benefit to seed oils for health. The only benefit is to the food companies because it allows them to make more profit. Same with HFCS.

When I want a science based answer to health/fitness I go to the YouTube search bar and type in Dr. Lane Norton / Dr. Mike Israetel _______ (insert health issue).


Consensus, stop looking for the boogey man for all your health issues. It used to be fat, then it was carbs, then it was sugar, then it was artificial sweeteners (fk what can I drink), now it’s seed oils. Stop over eating and health issues get much better.

If we outlaw all seed oils and we fry everything with tallow, and calories consumed stay =, health issues likely won’t change

If we get everyone skinnier on ding dongs and twinkies health issues will likely persist too. It’s not mutually exclusive

90% of the health problems in America could be solved by people not being fat

Sure seed oils aren’t great for you, but they aren’t causing you to overeat and certainly aren’t making people fat.

Like I said…get down to below a true 15% bf on dexa, get your performance numbers up there as far as strength and vo2 max are concerned, and get your ffmi to 23+ or even 22 and consistently get 8k steps and then I’ll be more than happy to discuss improving certain aspects of you diet to correct blood markers

Until then…waste of time as they have much lower hanging fruit to grab onto


And seed oils are not that hard to avoid. If you go out, just have steak and some grilled veggies. Don’t eat processed shite at home, eat 90% of meals you cook.

I don’t understand why this is so hard to understand…


1) I don’t think seed oils are good for you

2) I don’t think they are that hard to avoid for the most part

3) people need to stop looking for something to blame. We are fat AF as a society because we eat too many calories in the form of fat and carbs, period. Also we under consume the one macro that we should be over consuming, protein.

This is false. There’s argument to be made about what’s worse for you when in calorie surplus, but if you lose weight you’ll be healthier. Period.

There was guy who did the Twinkie diet. All blood markers got better after 10 weeks of most of his intake being “junk” food. Lost a lot of weight and all his blood markers got better. Pretty sure this has been proven over a plethora of studies. Lose weight- doesn’t really matter how - get healthier.

Ron has been Seed Oil free for 3 years now. I also cut out Sucralose and Ace K.

I feel better than I ever have including when I was on 12iu's of hGH a day. You can say this doesn't matter but I can assure you it does. You'd have to actually try it and stick to it first. I do not give two shits what Layne Norton says on these topics. If seed oils are fine and not harmful why not just go on an all seed oil diet?

For people like you, this makes sense…for 90% of the people screaming seed oils…it doesn’t.

I just don’t find seed oil hard to avoid except when eating gumbo.

That’s cool man. But most people are lying to themselves if they think they are getting their opinions from an impartial view of all literature available. There’s a handful of what I consider smart folks in the “evidence based” YouTube community. My opinions are mostly formed following them.
