Minor torn meniscus

Anyone here tear their meniscus? Ortho basically confirmed without MRI that I most likely have a partially torn meniscus.
running is fine until after.
Did you have surgery? If not, how did you adjust? I've been hiding behind it and not doing much cardio lately, but I'd like to again. Things like the elliptical feel fine, but it's restricting me from much more.
TIA

I tore mine about a year ago. Hurt like hell doing certain things, like running/jogging. Elliptical was fine as was a bike.
Was going get scoped and cleaned, but insurance made me do PT.
PT helped a bunch, so I cancelled the scope.
Still hurts from time to time, but manageable.

What did PT consist of? I'm waiting to hear back from insurance on MRI.

How old are you?
I had bilateral meniscus tears on both knees 3 years apart. Had surgery on both. I opted for just cut and shave on both of them. I could have possibly had a repair on the first one but had NP clinical starting in 6 weeks and did not want to delay that.
My right one got to the point where I would have to put my underwear/shorts on the ground because I couldn't bend my knee upwards. I was riding a bike the next day in PT and just continued at home therapy in my garage. Back squatting in 2 weeks with no issues.
My left one I continued to run and could feel when it would flip. I would stop mid run and slam my foot into the ground a few times to get it to flip back and then continue running. I just got tired of the nagging issue and got it taken care of. Friday before Ida, so my recovery was hampered due to no PT afterwards.

Mainly stretching, especially the hips (not sure why but it helped). Then I slowly got back into some light weight squats (on the machine)
I now do all the stretches from home.
And for reference I'm 55 yo and am back to being able to do most anything other than run. I do a little light jogging, but decided it was better to just walk or do elliptical.

I had a major meniscus tear that was incredibly painful. After receiving my $5K out of pocket quote for surgery and reading satisfaction studies, I chose to try rehab for 8 months and then make a decision.
Did Knees Over Toes guy stuff and completely resolved any pain, knee is stronger than ever 3 years later.
Early on, the program was tough. Stuck with it and progressed slowly, now doing advanced movements with weights. Can run, squat, etc with no pain.

Where do I find this? Can you send me what you did?

I was 19 and tore my lateral meniscus
Luckily the orthopedic doc said I was blessed with a bigger meniscus than most so what I lost when they clipped it didn’t hinder me any
PT was stretching and bike riding.. which I outperformed what they wanted me to do and then let me just do a couple of pt sessions. It was easy.

Knees Over Toes Training
I would start with Knee Ability Zero.
Recommend listening to his podcasts from back in 2021/2022 and looking at his social media stuff as well. Search “Ben Patrick” or “Knees Over Toes Guy.”
Long term game changers:
-Backward Sled Drags
-Backward uphill walking
-Nordic Curls
-Calf and Shin strengthening
-Slantboard Patrick Step
